Beyond Shelter UK CIC (Reg. 16328067) provides safe, fully furnished emergency accommodation for families, parents with children and single adults facing homelessness, domestic abuse or sudden crisis.
We accept local authority referrals, agency referrals and self-referrals.

Our mission is to strengthen communities by ensuring that every person regardless of background or circumstance has access to safe, secure and well-supported emergency accommodation.
We aim to bridge the gap between crisis and safety, working alongside local authorities, partners and self-referring individuals to offer responsive, trauma-informed support that protects, empowers and restores lives.

Our Services

Emergency Accommodation for Families
 
We provide safe, fully furnished homes for parents and children who need urgent accommodation due to homelessness, domestic abuse, safeguarding concerns, or unsafe living arrangements.
 
Our family units offer:
  • Private bedrooms
  • Fully equipped kitchens
  • Living and dining areas
  • Washing facilities
  • Gardens (property dependent)
  • 24/7 same-day admission
Suitable for Section 17, Emergency Duty Team (EDT) placements, and short-term emergency stays.
 
Rooms for Single Adults
 
We offer secure, comfortable rooms for single men and women in crisis.
 
Ideal for individuals who are:
  • Homeless or at risk
  • Fleeing domestic abuse
  • In immediate need of safety
  • Self-referring due to sudden crisis
  • Requiring out-of-area relocation
Our rooms provide privacy, stability, and dignified accommodation at vulnerable moments.
 
Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation
 
We offer discreet, trauma-informed emergency accommodation for individuals and families escaping domestic abuse, coercive control, or violence.
 
Our homes are:

  • Suitable for immediate, confidential placement
We accept referrals from local authorities, domestic abuse services, charities, and individuals.
 
Accessible & Mobility-Friendly Property Options
 
We provide units designed for people with mobility or health needs.
 
These include:
  • Ground-floor bedrooms
  • Wet rooms
  • Step-free access
  • Wheelchair-friendly layouts
  • Adapted bathroom and kitchen facilities (property dependent)
Suitable for parents, children, single adults, and individuals with disabilities.
 
Self-Referrals
 
Individuals aged 18+ can refer themselves if they:
  • Have nowhere safe to stay
  • Are fleeing domestic abuse
  • Are sleeping rough or sofa-surfing
  • Are at risk of harm
  • Need immediate emergency accommodation
Our team responds quickly and sensitively.
 
Nightly Paid Temporary Accommodation (24/7)
 
We accept referrals day and night from:
  • Local authorities
  • Housing & homelessness teams
  • Children’s Services
  • Charities & support agencies
  • Domestic abuse organisations
  • Self-referring individuals
We provide flexible nightly or weekly arrangements based on needs and availability.
